Position: Maintenance Technician
Summary:
The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting in the overall maintenance of industrial manufacturing machines and equipment as well as production facilities and systems. This position requires a good working knowledge of motors, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical wiring and plumbing. It also requires mechanical skills to troubleshoot and repair injection molding, CNC and other industrial machinery, as well as to perform necessary building maintenance and repairs.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Perform work, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, in order to complete routine maintenance, troubleshoot problems, and make repairs.
- Respond to urgent repair requests in a timely manner.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Assist in the installation of new machinery, equipment and systems.
- Work with outside vendors to ensure successful completion of work.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and equipment reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety and other regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Communicate status of work through verbal, written and or computer entry.
- Adhere to all AS9100 requirements as specified in work instructions and by your supervisor.
- Show up on time, work your scheduled hours, get along with co-workers and support others as needed.
- Conduct yourself in an ethical and professional manner and demonstrate Tri-Mack Values: Respect, Teamwork, Integrity, Accountability and Durability.
- All other duties and special projects as assigned by your manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or related certification a plus.
- Proven experience in a similar role preferred, preferably in an injection molding or CNC machining environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Mechanical aptitude; proficient with hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting capability.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including noise and temperature variations.
- Physical ability to properly lift 40 pounds, and stand, bend or sit for extended periods.
- General math knowledge, basic computer skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics preferred.
- Working knowledge of standard OSHA regulations preferred.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed from time to time.
- Attention to detail, excellent communication and teamwork skills required.
